... good thing was...we had seen it before so hubby really only wanted to see the Enterprise and we looked around at the planes on deck again...we didn't have to go inside other than to cool down. The other nice thing - there were people handing out free packs of crispy M&M's...so we scored 3 of them. Nice.

Afterwards, we came out and just sat in the shade for awhile. If I'd been paying attention, I would have realized Circle Line ...

... Central Park which was luckily quite sheltered. We were soaked and freezing but this was our last day in New York, our last day of the whole trip! So we wanted to make the most of it.

We took a subway from 5th Ave back to the apartment and stopped for more coffee and bagels in a local cafe then had chance to go back and have a shower, pack up and hit the road for the airport. It was nice to be in his flat and not a hotel ...

... hotel. Out to dinner at Capital Grill at the Chrysler building. Very expensive. Our bill was $440 included 2 entrees, 4 steaks, 4 vege sides and 1 bottle of wine. Nice but... We then ventured further on to the Empire State Building to go to the lookout. Hundreds of people there. Took about 1 hour to get to the 86floor lookout. Had to go through security, then buy tickets, then get 2 elevators. Magic night for it. Very clear although a bit cold. Home to bed at 11.15. A big ...

There is so much to just look around and see here in the big apple... Over the last couple of days, we have walked the length and breadth of Manhattan... We have wandered through China town, right through SoHo to mid town... We watched the hectic movements of people rushing about at peek hour in grand central station... We then went and saw the lights, glitz and glamour ...

So after a long haul with transfers at Melbourne and Los Angeles we arrived at a rain soaked NYC with evidence of the recent snows still about.
