    A GREAT Hotel!!

I loved this hotel, it was one if the best I've ever stayed in. It included free wifi, a short walk to the beach and a very short stroll to the restaurants. My family and I stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment, it had a fridge with an ice maker built into it, Foxtel, excellent facilities for cooking and many amazing facilities outside too, including: a pool; a kids pool; and a luxurious spa. I had lots of fun there.

... watches he was the chap who plays Nate the doctor - I kept my cool, sat reading my book and drinking my very grown up beverage. It was only the two of us in there, and the waitress was very ditsy so we exchanged confused glances. On my way out he wished me a good day, I replied with 'you too' whilst attempting to remain cool and not highlight how excited I was. I think I managed it.....

    Next stop Manly Beach....

A bit of a confusion over buses, but I eventually made ...

... Bolt speed, lying down like Luke does speeds you up to a Usain Bolt being chased by an angry Cheetah speed. After much carry on at the bottom, I persuaded Olga to go on it. Reluctantly she did. Thumbs up was the call and so Olga and Zoe made the walk all the way to the top again. I was prepared for Zoe to come walking back down... But she didn't. 5 minutes later, she comes flying down the green slide, with a grin from ear to ear. She ...

... dance' room, busting moves and throwing shapes! Great fun! After a walk down the Esplanade we headed for the Islander and prepared dinner. The one thing that has been constantly disappointing in the hostels has been the kitchen facilities! Either a severe lack of working equipment, pots/utensils or just simply filthy and disgusting! Not good! We managed to make the most out of what we had and enjoyed dinner out on the hotel balcony. Around ...

This morning I managed to drag myself from bed in time to catch the sunrise over the ocean (see photo). I then quickly snuggled back in. So, we rarely go swimming whilst at home and, although we often visit the beach with Nelly, we never don our swimming costumes. However, we both LOVE water parks. One of the main reasons we visited the Gold Coast was so we could visit 'Wet n Wild'. It may surprise many that for someone who can't swim, dislikes crowds and has a bad ...

    Day 69

It got quite cold last night. We were up early, and on the road by 8.30 am. We drove back out on the road we came in here on, back to the Bruce Highway. There was a lot of traffic on the road. The van park is on the Gold Coast Highway, so wasn't too hard to find. We were here by 12noon. I messaged Jo and told her we were here. She is pretty excited, and we will see her ...
