    A GREAT Hotel!!

I loved this hotel, it was one if the best I've ever stayed in. It included free wifi, a short walk to the beach and a very short stroll to the restaurants. My family and I stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment, it had a fridge with an ice maker built into it, Foxtel, excellent facilities for cooking and many amazing facilities outside too, including: a pool; a kids pool; and a luxurious spa. I had lots of fun there.

... I said to Jan we should go down and we started back just as one of those young personal trainer types came up from below. "Your not going to let a bit of rain stop you after all this way? You know can do so lets do it together!" she said, so up we went behind her and after finding foot holes and slippery bits we got to the top. WOO HOO!! the cloud was so thick we couldn't see a thing. By the way while we're struggling up the cliff face some young ...

... a little later. Looking at the map of the park I suggested to Mark that we start off with a reasonably gentle traditional water flume. He said we should "go hard or go home" and this is why we started out at the Extreme H20 Zone! **To help describe these rides I have extracted the explanation of each from the park's website and also added some of their promo photos to keep the memory alive.** So, without time to jump in a pool and wet ourselves we left Mark's flip ...

... and get a sticker for my collection, which will have to be my Byron Bay souvenir (thanks Sunshine Cycles!). I continue on, unfortunately having to ride up the M1 motorway. I feel anxious about this - it's against the law to cycle on a motorway in the UK, and I don't fancy starring in the Australian version of "Police, Camera, Action" as a misguided Englishman riding where he shouldn't be! However, I see some other cyclists ahead, so I figure it's probably ok. ...

... lovely couple of days here.
The next morning it's all about technology and getting everything backed up/saved etc. Its so painstaking to do and i'm worried i may lose all my pics but i've got a little routine going on so it should be ok. I also find out that one of our New Zealand bus buddies (the doctor Raffael) has checked into our hostel, how funny. We're going to have a little reunion tonight so that should be fun.
Now the next stop really is Byron ...

... in the shower was. Again back to the present and the show, Momentum, it's a mash up of music and dancing based on time with lots of audience participation, I won't tell you anything else about it as its coming over to Europe next and maybe London, if you get chance it's well worth seeing. The trouble with all this travelling you forget where you are at any given time, for the umpteenth time I've woken up and walked into a ...
