    During our stay in Surfers we walked along the esplanade up to Macintosh Island near Main Beach which coincided with city council workers feeding the birds. You should have seen all the birds making their way on foot - it was an en mass migration. It was fabulous!     ... took a surprisingly quick bus back to the city and waited for Jill and Anthony to come out of the opera. Little did we know it was Chinese New Year and we witnessed fireworks at the opera house on New Year. Well almost the same!     ... waves.

    Had another dip in the sea and a few more glides along the waves, then went to dry off. Didn’t take so long as it was so hot, ended up starting to burn, so headed off.
    Had to stop at Woolworths on the way back as we needed a few bits, halfway back from Woolworths Ari realised we’d been over charge for a drink, so went back and ended up having it for free.
