Cruising along I started feeling moisture hitting me in the face.. I thought oh no . Not rain. But looking up the sky was clear. Looking ahead I realised our predicament. Traveling along in front of us was a livestock carrier. Every now and then a fine mist would emit from the rear ...

... fun! I was shockingly bad but after about an hour and a half (Verena & I shared a 3 hour rental) I had PRETTY much stood up for 2 seconds until another wave hit me so basically I'm clearly a surf pro waiting to happen ... However, my stomach, upper thighs and knees were grazed to PIECES though so I guess my surf career will have to wait ... After this I headed off to start my epic journey that would take almost a day off to the red centre ... More to come! ...
