Short but Sweet
... be pretty happy but as a backpacker its just annoying; you only have certain times you can visit these places and you don't get a true sense of what the place is like! Anyway, we went to the beach hotel and got in for free because "You are hot English girls" but this is just because if your a toolie (what people are called if they are out when it's schoolies) you don't normally have to pay! The bar was amazing, it felt like I was walking into Ibiza and this got me happppy! ...

... but cost $30! This is the first and last time I eat out in Australia! SO expensive...back to Subways and chocolate bars!
Oh and also after I finished eating some Australian came up and said to me...'I could see you enjoyed that....such a big meal for such a small person...I could only manage half of that but I guess you'll burn it off running on the beach later'...umm, thanks. That had been my first proper meal for a while, pooface!

A blast
The accommodation was massively different to what were used to so they're like little cabins but the beds were great and it all adds to the experience...Today I had an incredible adventure, full of craziness, blood pumping energetic madness...surfing! Nimbin itself is just as you would imagine a hippie haven to be: a colourful cast of shops, cafes and new-agers showcasing the rainbow culture. We had about an hour or so there to peruse the shops (or locate the best 'product' for most!) ... that; half of them sell surf fashion, the other half sell crystals and joss sticks. Being mid week and mid winter the beach was really quiet so I happily spent a day kicking back til it got too chilly (about 4pm, well it was winter after all!). To the horror of the others from our bus Clare and I decided to forgo a second night in the backpackers bar for a night in with a takeaway pizza!! Don't say we don't know how to have a good time!!
