... After the ride we descended to find my college friend Ariana and her mom Sheila waiting for us! How exciting! We left Twin Falls early this morning, heading for Yellowstone. We had a beautiful drive. The eastern side of Idaho was much more impressive than the southern border.

As we got closer to Wyoming, we saw a traffic sign along the road indicating that Route 20 to Yellowstone was under construction and to expect significant delays. So, we made a game time decision to pass on Yellowstone* and cut over to Jackson Hole instead. ...

... Moose as well as some great views of Grand Teton. I decided to do a walk which had been recommended, Taggatt Lake. The walk took me through deep snow and a forest and you burst out of the of the trees onto a frozen lake with Grand Teton, it was really cool but then it started snowing so I started walking back.

Yellowstone Park is adjacent to the Tetons, and has a very different feel. We spent half a day there and really you could explore for a couple of weeks and not see everything.
