White water rafting

A travel blog entry by billc507 on Jun 26, 2014

... was swamped with boaters. Some canoes tipped over. What a mess! We drove back to the office dried off and prepared for the white water part of the trip. We got wet suits, rain pants, coats and water boots. The rain stopped so we drove to the next jump off location. The sun was out and warm and all was good. Our raft was filled with 20 something's. But with only a day we did a nutshell tour along the 40+ miles. We stopped at almost every turn off and did a few selected activities including the requisite junior ranger program for Mattias. An interesting thing we learned about the Tetons is that the mountains are some of the 'youngest' mountains in the world having been formed 'only' ...

The Plan - There is no plan What really happened - the whole idea of having nothing planned except a lazy day is really appealing. The weather is gorgeous- blue skies but not too hot. After sleeping late and eating cake for breakfast, we head to the pool. Ethan is not at his best today and I guess he is tired after the excitement of yesterday. The ...
