    ... one yesterday was a delicious dessert! Then it was time to open the bottle of champers we had been saving in the hope that Holland made it to the world cup final. We will be up early again tomorrow to watch them take on Brazil...

    ... the sides were very cracked. We went for a walk around the park, there were lots of eels swimming in the water. We fed the eels some food, there were also a lot of black fish that we fed food. We counted 15 turtles. There were lots and lots of trees down the side of the path, there were a few bridges that we had to walk over, when we going over a bridge we saw a tiny eel and then we walked over another bridge and saw a very big one. I bought a badge at the souvenir ...

    ... and salad with watermelon for dessert) and then walked the 40 minutes back to the hostel. We just finished having dinner and booking our taxi for the morning. We are headed out to Magnetic Island where we hope to do lots of cool things. We will probably just hang out in the common area and then head to bed reasonably early.

    Can't wait to update you on tomorrow's fun!

    ... nearby! However there is a fabulous pool where we spent the afternoon, and great beach walks when the tide is out. Temperature here about 28 deg during the day, and about 22 deg at night. A really nice place to relax for a couple of nights, even though it's quite windy. Off to Mission Beach ...

    ... about twenty minutes or so later we walked to the hospital and could see the sea turtles for ourselves! A couple of them were massive!!!! Following the aquarium we made our way towards 'The Strand' to try and finish the rest of the 2km promenade walk that got cut short with yesterday's rain! Once again we walked passed the beautiful 'Anzac Memorial Park' and passed the Marina towards the beach. We took a detour down Gregory St. and picked up a tear and share cheese ...
