We got settled in and then struck off to the city center where we found the aquarium and museum. ... me. But alas.... Next towns, Home hill, Ayr. After Ayr the scenery started looking rather picturesque. The cane fields in the foreground and the dark hills in the rear. Several times I thought, " now that would be a perfect photo." But each time there was nowhere to pull over safely, so I pressed on. About 50km from Townsville I found a spot to pull over.. ... that walks between the coral reef exhibit and the predator exhibit! There are literally thousands of fish on display and the living coral reef is huge! We really enjoyed everything that was on offer. The coral is so beautifully coloured and it has made us really excited to do a dive when we get just a little higher up the coast.
