... at Broadbeach. Brian had fish and I had calamari. Both meals were yummy. Then we bought a huge French Vanilla Slice and shared it. We begin the journey home tomorrow with the first leg of five hundred kms to Moree. There we will stay in a drive through site and leave the car and van connected. Away from the coast for the first time in fifteen weeks. We have had a fabulous holiday with great weather and so many days spent at the beach.

Coogee beach is well worth the wait as its great for swimming but there are big waves. I went in and loved it, didn't think twice about the bluebottle jellyfish ...
... out a bit and got soaked, but it was excellent as we were boiling hot. I was jumping on the waves and gliding back in on them. There was a strong rip that would pull you back out straight away. People were getting knocked over from the waves, but then they started coming at different angles which mean people were going everywhere. Decided to have a go with the Nerf we’d bough the other day, was good fun, nearly lost it a few time ...
The next day was a big, boring drive across the border and into QLD! Camp stop for the night at Camooweal and paid $35/night for a patch of gravel behind the pub with no power!!
