May 16th - Day 12

Today we went to the USS Midway Museum,
an aircraft carrier that served actively for many years and is now a
museum. This was amazing. It's so huge and had up to 80 aircraft on
it at a time. It was a Saturday so the lines to get in were the
longest we've seen so far. Well worth it for any air enthusiast and
would take 4-5 hours to do well. We did almost 3 hours and everyone
was so tired ...

... at Shangri La, we headed here for three days. We arrived at the Phon D Sutton Park campground, which is actually 2 large parking lots, and found the western parking area was completely full, so headed to the east lot. ... complete with volleyball nets, palm trees, surfers and hotels on the sand. What we didn't anticipate was the oil rigs - not only the big ones offshore but the smaller ones in the streets right next to houses.
