... is beyond belief. The way the rock blocks are put together without anything to hold them is amazing. I just keep taking photos that I know will not do this place justice but I can't help myself. There are people everywhere on the mountain doing the same as me. There are treks if you have more time that go up the surrounding mountains that overlook Machu Picchu but I know that we would have done in our younger days. ... ourselves a favor missing that departures area – especially at 5am! All lanes were stopped with cars dropping people in all lanes! It was a nightmare at oh dark thirty! Keep using the lower arrivals area to drop off. I would not use that departures area again after this experience. Talk about chaos before your flight. Good place to start it.

After months of waiting tomorrow is finally the day! As the clocks ticks closer to take off my emotions keep bouncing from excited to anxious back to excited. Most of my nerves are of the unknown, not about where I am going. I know that once I get there and see what I'm dealing with I'll feel better. I wanted an adventure and hope that I don't get more than I bargained for (look up tumbu fly if you want an example of something I'm hoping to avoid)!
