By the way, Tash managed to have three birthdays today. First in Hong Kong Airport, waiting for our delayed flight. Bought a new camera, which doubled as the birthday present ;-) Then on the flight to Paris we turned our clocks back, and her birthday started again on Paris time. When we finally got to Dubrovnik, we felt we had to say Happy Birthday one more time! Happy Birthday ...

... but when I got down to the main street the noise of the people was loud enough to drown them out, which was sort of disappointing.

Mass at the Cathedral was fine. I prayed Lauds on my phone during the homily, which may have been scandalous to some people, but oh well. Ate dinner at the hotels restaurant which was average. The highlight was a dog that trotted up to the fountain that I was sitting next to to have a drink - everyone thought that was ...

... ve got the old town, with Venetian-style white buildings with red terracotta roofs. Apart from the walk, we also went cliff-diving and swimming. So much fun. Bobbing up and down in the deep, blue waters, with the rocky cliffs and city walls towering above you – amazing. That night, we went to some ****** cover band. But following that, we went to Revelin – one of the best clubs I've ever been to. The club was huge, with ...

    Dreaming of Dubrovnik

... There was only one way to finish off my time in Dubrovnik - sailing. Jess had organised a sunset sailing trip for Kat, Laura, Gen, Carly, Sarah, Dave, herself and I with Dubrovnik Sailing. We were picked up at the dock in Lapad Bay by the Nautic 12 sail boat, with our personal skipper chauffeuring us over to it in an inflatable boat. As we set sail from the dock, I had couldn't help but have one of those 'is this really my life?' moments. While the boat ...
