Great value since it's so close to Time Square and Port Authority. I felt like I was staying in a modern apartment. The room had air con which was very handy during Spring & Summer! The owner was so nice and made sure I was happy. Would stay again!

The portion sizes are smaller on the restaurant week menu, which was actually better for me. The one main difference I noticed was with the beignets; I’ve been getting those at Brasserie for years now and I’m not sure whether they just changed them this year ...

... rooms were closed for inspection but we managed to peek in the famous reading rooms and also the rare collections, which are under lock and key. Looking at the building was enough though. A touch better than Spearwood library! We walked back up to Magnolias for an afternoon banana cream pie before looking for our next coffee stop, Culture espresso (the only place in NYC that can make a flat white). They also make homemade raspberry pop tarts and biscuits still warm out ...
