... I finished the drive to Boulder, via a not very scenic route, all interstate 25, and met up with Rick and Gary at their TH in Boulder. We are doing a non-simultaneous home exchange, and they will stay at my home the 1st 2 weeks in Dec. So they were able to show me around the home and pointed out the trails that lead from the TH forever in every direction--great for walkers and cyclists. So I have been staying in their lovely TH the past week, and will be ...

All in all the track was around 4 miles. I make it back to the car and head back to the apartment. I'm hungry but I also smell. ... Keystone Ski Area, Swan Mountain and Frisco. In Frisco we got back on a bike path and made our way over to Copper Mt. Ski Area.
As we entered the entrance to the ski area a nasty storm came into the valley and it began to rain really hard. Gordy and I took refuge under a small awning at an information kiosk before we could get soaked. There was barely enough room for the two of us and our bikes but as other riders came by a few of them asked if they ...

    ... miss.

Not to be outdone, again using Butler maps we quickly picked out a couple of great rides to lead us North and up into Boulder. The ride was quite chilly to begin with as we slowly climbed our way up to Leadville (elev 10,200'). The bikes handled the roads really well and we strapped the GoPro Hero camera to Cliffy for a change and he became the film director. Some hilarity ensued as he got the on/off record button ...
