    Theresa the host was nice, our room comfortable, and we didn't spend too much time before we hit the hay, but not before finding out Theresa knew Jon Ridnell "Oh, you're Black Dog's cousin!"

    ... to arrive last Thurs., but just did not, and now is supposed to arrive tomorrow (Mon. 7/7) (And yes, I did complain), so I've not been kayaking yet. Assuming it arrives tomorrow, I have plans to drive west an hour into the mountains to some natural lakes, Brainard Lakes. There are several reservoirs around here, but I like real lakes whenever possible. There is a river going through Boulder, Boulder Creek, which does get some ww kayaks going down.

    ... were high class and the mountain homes were gorgeous. Georgetown was a 19th century mining town that was kind of eerie. There were tons of cars and lights on in all he buildings and homes, but we only saw 2 people.

We ended up with a Hertz rental of a Hyundai 6 speed diesel station wagon, large enough to handle luggage, backpacks and carry-ons for four people. Quite economical since we averaged over 30 MPG, considering that fuel was about 1.40 Euros/liter ($6.90/gal)

    ... people everywhere. Boulder has a lovely mall in the center of town. It is on Pearl Street and spans about 4 blocks. The courthouse is also in this area.
