    Aspen March 2015

... from/through ASE or ORD among other cities on my date due to the storm. Considering I was flying from Aspen and connecting in Chicago, I decided to go ahead and change my flight to Wednesday instead. Rather than call UAL, I went to airport to change my flight. I figured it would be quicker and in my experience in speaking with UAL customer service on the phone, less likely to have errors at the airport. There was a little bit of a line ...

    Day 6

It's Billy's Birthday!!!!! My gorgeous man is now 30!! Yay! He is officially old lol!! To celebrate his exit from his glorious 20s I planned a tour of all your 7mate reality shows including, Pawn Stars, Counting Choppers and Tanked. We went to all the stores and met a few of the guys on the shows, we also went to the stores of some of Rick's 'Buddies' that he calls in to value the old toys and sports memorabilia. We especially liked ...

Ran into these two beautiful dogs waiting for their master outside a shop. Had to stop and pat them - actually we couldn't walk past as one of them blocked our path until we did pat him. We also have seen this bird around Aspen as well. Found out he is a Black Billed Magpie. Different to our magpies in Australia especially as they have very long tails. However they still have ...

Woke with an air of expectation this morning as yesterday had been mindblowingly good. It was a cool, crisp morning around -7c. Felt just like home! Scrambled once again up the snow covered hill to the grandstand. The World Cup Ladies Slalom Course was all laid out and we were able to see it from top to bottom.

Once again we cheered on all nations and a huge cheer for our Aussie, Greta Small. This was her first World Cup Slalom start. Unfortunately Greta straddled the ...

    Last day in Snowmass

... gave up his corporate job to spend a summer in Aspen, only to find himself still living the dream 30 years after. He seemed happy!

So in summary, I think Aspen Snowmass is the best USA ski resort. Its got great mountains or on par with everywhere else but its the town that really separates this place from everywhere else. Yes, its expensive but this is one place where you get what you pay for...and thats quality.

Hope to be back sooner than later!

    Ollie out.
