We just didn't want to pass the huge peaks if the Collegiate Mountains to our east in the dark. Mule deer and twisting switchbacks are no fun. Then, when it was dark, we went to the rugby field and sat with everyone else on blankets to watch the fireworks. Was a wonderful ...

... to find a place to stay that night with our van that doesnt fit into manycovered parking decks and our dog. They were very helpful and suggested a Westin lowrise hotel in Snowmass Upper Village. That turned out to be perfect for us and we ended up staying there for two nights. Our daughter and son-in-law were spending a week in Aspen and we were trying to coordinate ...

... Mt. HEAVEN. And...$100. A month!! Woo Hoo! We also served one healthy dinner a week to the likes of Clint Eastwood and family...AND I got to help Sidney Poitier find what he was looking for...the most gracious and kind person. So! Joanna and I ended up walking around a bit in the late afternoon. I wanted to check out Hotel Jerome where I. Used to breakfast on a regular basis..It was fancy smancy in those days...you ought ...
