In order to make the most of the day, I got up at 7.30, was out just after 9, was kindly given a lift by my step mum, and got the 9.35 train; this was the best kind of train, as the express only takes 1 hour, whereas the others take longer. The cashier referred to me as "pal" in a tongue in-cheek fashion, which was amusing. As I wrote before, some people act funny when they hear my British accent.

the customers 5 to 1. I think we were a little early. Now, being in NYC, we both had certain things we had heard about and wanted to try. New York pizza is something our New York transplants back home have always bragged about, so we had to seek out the best. Rode the shuttle into the city, and walked to Metropolitan Museum of Art up 59th. It was still cool, windy and cloudy when we stopped off at Cafe Enoteca for coffee. It was a bit chilly sitting outside, but the passing parade distracts one from the weather. It was 20 more blocks to The Met, but it was ...

Hayley is of course happy she made us leave so early as we still have plenty of time to correct this error. Off to the subway we go! As we buy our tickets one of the guards asks us where we are ultimately headed and tells us that if we ride the orange T line two extra stops we can get off at Back Bay where our train will pass through five minutes later after it departs South Station, meaning we don’t have to walk up 40 ...

Last day today and I spent that exploring Central Park. The colours are fantastic this time of year. Just add bigger and not necessarily better but certainly more extravagant, for example, an ice skating rink! I've had a great week exploring New York City and thought I would summarise some of my ...
