Travel Blogs from Steamboat Springs
We started the morning exploring the east face of Steamboat to find the most spectacular views and some beautifully pitched runs. These new demo skis are the real deal. Love them, and decided not to switch them for our third and final day tomorrow. They make everything easy and quick to bail out of trouble in tough stuff. Breathing is much easier today so I seem to have acclimated to this thin air. That helps the skiing immensely. We had lunch in the sun while some ...

We even talked about renting here in the furure. After visiting the library we walked the main drag in town. Checked out several stores including F.M. Light and Sons. Stopped by the condo and got ...
Nothing much to report except that LA has had 12" of rain, Lake Tahoe has had 6-8 feet (not inches) of snow in the last week and here in Steamboat it hasn't stopped snowing since last Friday (thanks to the La Nina weather effect). Colorado is in a Winter Storm Warning until Thursday 5pm, this means way more snow and no idea as to whether its inches or feet of snow falling. Out of bounds and above treeline areas in Steamboat have a High Avalanche ...
