    ... ago. We went on the Foothills Parkway around the West side of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We jumped on 321 in to Townsend and entered the GSMNP on Little River Road. We went to Gatlinburg rather than the planned stop in Pigeon Forge because of our late start and the threat of rain.
