    ... his body. By the time we were walking back, he had gotten into the chest, and again kept his eye focused on us. This time, if we got too close, he took off and circled around a couple of times, we backed off and I got this shot of him landing on the bird. It was an exciting thing to see and we stood there a long time watching it – we walked away for him so he could finish his meal.

    ... below us. A minute later he came up for a second big breath, spouting and arching his big dark, scratched up back as he dove deeper. Then he was gone, under the waves. We checked the other side of the small peninsula and found two more whales spouting in the distance. We followed them for some time, but the sun was getting low.
