While D was getting patched up, Grandpa had miraculously gotten C to sleep in her berth, so D and I hung out with Grandma up in our coach seats while we took in the amazing scenery of Glenwood Canyon and I calmed down a little bit. ... a bad back? Unsurprisingly, we decided to take off the next day. To Yosemite we drove, Bessy continues to run well, as we drove along we started getting our first glimpses of the majestic mountains, some still snow capped. After leaving sea level we have now climbed to 9945ft. No small feat in a 28ft RV - believe me! The law here is that if you have more than 5 vehicles behind you, you must pull over and let them past.
