    Three hour ski lesson! We struggled getting up again this morning – we are both a little run down at this point of the trip, and Justin's head is still so congested.     We both had a deep and wonderful sleep, but still woke up a little lethargic – those bloody lollies! The high altitude wouldn't have helped. We got the shuttle to the East Village for tubing.     Drove to Denver airport where we met our shuttle to Copper Mountain. So excited!!! Two hours on the shuttle and we are dropped at our lodging – Village Square in the Central Village.     ... It is 9,603 feet above sea level. It was founded by white settlers in 1859 in search of gold. It is now a all season recreation and holiday destination. It has world class ski-ing and in summer offers hiking, bike riding, rock climbing, fishing and kayaking.

    It still has a lot of timber historic buildings that now house boutiques, restaurants, cafés and bars. We were surprised to come across a Bubba Gump Shrimp Restaurant.

    ... what we were getting into when we began this leg of the trip. We have been on a lot of mountain roads, making hairpin turns, and circling mountain ridges as we climbed. But for some reason, this road freaked me out. I shocked Steve when I asked him to turn around after about 20 miles.
