    ... fell,we heated up our Mountain House meal and just enjoyed the fire and the quiet of the night. We saw a couple of Loons on the lake,but they have been quiet so far. And we did hear a couple of Barred Owls across the lake before bedtime.

    ... and Otto, beverages. When I asked Otto if Milo had any food preferences, I found out that Milo wanted lobster and artichokes. So, even though Otto told Milo he wasn't getting them, I tried to pick a little something with lobster and artichokes. We had two salads and two breads with a choice of spreads and toppings plus olives and cornichons. Everyone seemed pleased with the lunch.

    ... we watch the Olympic ski jumping the next time. I can’t see why anyone would willingly ski down that really steep slope and then jump off. It gave my stomach the willies and made part of John’s body shrink up and hide, if you know what I mean.     Pirate Day on the Hudson. An annual event held by the Adirondack Adventure crew where they supply pirate costume items complete with eye-patches and scarfs. The crew dons their pirate best and a crazy fun filled day of rafting takes place on the Hudson River. They rate the rapids we rode as Class III-V, However, based on the Class V's Alex and I have done elsewhere, I think these were a little weak.
