Nice, IF you like to party!
This is a nice hotel, as most every room has a kitchen. This saves $$ and allows you to cook in. It is oceanfront and has a great pool and secure places to park your car.
That being said, it is a PARTY hotel. If you want a quiet beach vacation, this is NOT the place for you!!!
Never rent from "michael reny"
i stayed late july '03 on 11th floor, rented room from "MICHAEL RENY", never recieved 100.00 deposit back, when we departed, we cleaned room, better than it was when we arrived, owner "MICHAEL RENY" said we smoked in room(we dont smoke) and a few things had to fixed, so he kept our deposit, he completely lied, me and wife and 2 kids took very good care of room. i have filed a complaint with bbb. i would never rent a room from MICHAEL RENY again!!!
The "view" was great!
The twins the work the bar were the best part! Had a great time!
Hands down it's the best!
My parents and I have stayed there off and on for 20 yrs. I've tried making Panama City Beach even more enjoyable shopping around for a better view or location or room vs price...it can't be done. The Summit experience leaves you with an overwhelming feeling of "ahhhhhh" :-)
I loved it sooo much. Yeah, the room was crappy, but the location was great! I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else!
The Summit is changing its image!
I have stayed at The Summit for the few years. I must say that it has
had its ups and downs. It is on the upside now!! We have found
individual owners with very nice condos. They have added a playground
this year, added a small restaraunt, and overall improved the whole
place. We were close to Signal Hill (good for my husband), close to
restaraunts, and plenty to do onsite.
Stayed at Summit unit 419, the unit was very nicely furnished and had a great veiw. This unit also came with chairs the owners rented for the season from the beach service. All the comforts of home, but better, 'cause you're at the beach.
The Summit is great!
We have vacationed at the Summit for the last 10 years. It's great in all respects!
In need of repairs.
A nice enough place but in definate need of improvements. Our room was so dirty that we had to go buy a mop and cleaning supplies to clean it. We stayed a week last July and the elevator was out more than it was working...and we were on the 5th floor! Try dragging tired kids and equipment up the stair several times a day! A lot of young people running around and got quite loud at night. But a plus it is next to good night life. Beach was great too.
I have been to PCB for the past 5 years for Memorial Day weekend and have stayed at The Summit each time. The condos are located right next to Spinnakers and Club LeVela. This comes in handy if you like to party at night because you can walk to both locations and don't have to worry about a designated driver for all the drinkers. It is also a great location because you can pop over to Spinnakers (in your swim suit) straight off the beach for a noon time burger. Room 1206 at The Summit is especially nice inside. They also have 2 huge pools which 1 is always heated when it's a little chilly. I recommend Panama City Beach to everyone because the sand and surf are great.

Hello everyone, we are at one of our favorite RV parks in Panama City Beach, FL. The beaches here are wonderful, white sugar sand and Emerald green water. We were here last year about this same time so we planned a return trip. This year the weather has NOT been very favorable for beaching. So our plan is to stay further south next year either on the keys or near Naples until mid March to return here. While we were in he ...
... and shoreline vegetation communities including beach dunes, maritime hammock, sand pine and scrub oak, medic flatwoods, tidal march and depressional marsh. And of course you end out on the lovely beach for a walk and another shell hunt.
We also came across this 32 foot abandoned sail boat, and now really stuck!!!
Well our tour of Florida comes to and end and off to search for warmer climate tomorrow.
... of slash pine plantation punctuated by a trailer here and there. We wanted to check out Dead Lake which was touted as a great boating place - and I am sure it would be fascinating if you didn't get so lost among the dead cypress that you never came out again. Some other time when we don't have any return dates ...
... a bit grittier – surprise!!. It was not what she expected. So many people eat this in the south everyday. We noticed a woman in the restaurant when leaving who had a couple of biscuits with grape jelly and a large plate of grits with big pads of butter and salt and pepper generously applied. She looked very content.
We saw some really large birds in the parking lot just outside the restaurant that look like ...
... decision was made to spend another few days at Mexico Beach. We will spend Thanksgiving Day here and celebrate it with all the other residents at the RV Park. They are putting on the turkey and each guest is asked to bring a plate of something as well. I have volunteered Margaret to make a Pavlova for the celebration. This time she doesn’t need my advice for the recipe, she has cunningly brought some Pavlova Magic Eggs ...
