    ... Gav and Sam went extreme and did the summit walking track going even higher around the cliff face. Harrison and I stayed down lower to the ground and watched the ferries head over the bay to Magnetic Island - a much more civilized way to take in the view I think.

    There is a lot to love about Townsville, but we are happy to move on. Big cities are not where we want to be right now, and there is so much more out there to see...

    ... Beach is a very nice place. When we arrived at the caravan park we though we were in paradise, but those thoughts soon changed as all the vans and campers started rolling in for the week-end. We had lovely views to the ocean from our site but that was soon blocked by other vans, cars, awnings etc. Oh well, hopefully they will all disappear again on Sunday and we may have a few lovely ...

    ... much to his liking. We took a little trip into the tiny community of Rollingstone which has one shop - fuel, DVD's, milk, bread... all of the essentials. We even managed to pick up a locally grown pineapple! This area is known for it's fantastic fruit and veg.
