... dog can smell and hear an intruder long before they see them, alerting you long before the criminal has an opportunity to get close to your home. However, normally it's not your big guard dog that sets off your alarm. The real perpetrators are cats and small dogs, the smaller pets that are often allowed indoors. False alarms happen when these small pets move around after you've armed your house. They either break a beam or they're picked up by ...

... Lynn had picked out a new shirt for me while shopping in the afternoon...a red short-sleeved jobby... The DBacks color. Very cool... Made me feel like a loyal fan, if only for one night.

We got back to camp in the dark, but it was much easier, what with less traffic and a bit of practice affect from the other night. A late night it was, which necessitated a late rising this morning.

Well, it's been a couple of days out here in Scottsdale and it's hot. It's been as hot as 111 but averaging around 109. Either way, it's hot and dry.

It's been great to be here and see our new grandson. . Do I look just a little happy to be holding that little bundle of joy? He looks a lot like Noah did when he was born. And ...

It's already 100 degrees out!

June 5th- I did not get to sleep till after 3 am! I had set the alarm for 6:10 to be up in time to print my tickets. Have been trying to nap all day but did not work! Did a few last minute things and I am ready to head to Boston tomorrow. Temp was only 104 here today. I checked out at the office and visited Jeannie and then Tish, returned books and jigsaws to the rec hall and think I am ready to go. Will take perishable food to Red later tonight and go to bed early.

Europe (June-July): Again, too far to really plan but mostly Scandinavia or other great outdoor/camping areas. Or we may do more Mediterranean area and try to dip into Africa as well.

P.S. If anyone has any connections or recommendations for any of these places I'd love to hear it! Also, if anyone is planning to visit any of these places at a similar time and would like to travel together that would be great too!
