720 Tamarix Way Mesquite, Nevada, United States, 89027
... This park is a popular location for shooting movies be it westerns or science fiction. Captain Kirk died on one of the bridges in the park in "Star Trek Generations" and I recognized some of the scenery from the battle. "Electric Horseman" was also filmed in the park. About 45 movies a year are shot here. Check out the photos and you'll see why...
Overton, Nevada, United States scatteredfrost... time and the winner exceeded 100. Eugh. We spent the rest of the day mooching down the strip, trying to avoid people offering free show tickets if only we would go and see their new hotel.....! We found ourselves in Aladdin in search of some food and were amazed at the interior decor of the shopping centre with its own fake sky that rains every 30 minutes or something like that. We found a lovely place for a really tasty lunch (phew!) and ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States lolandlaurie... there. Mashed potatoes and onion soup (just the broth) for me, oh and a few frites. We watched a couple movies: Employee of the Month and Talladega Nights. I wanted something funny to watch. We had tickets for Ka and reservations at Craftsteak at the MGM Grand, which dh canceled. Next time.
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States kitkatgo... d flown down there on Southwest out of Baltimore, so Blue was parked at the airport. This was my first time ever driving Blue unattended. Halfway home, Blue kind of sputtered, started smoking, and died. When I say died, I mean I apparently did not notice the oil that was pouring out of the truck until the engine seized. I believe I cracked the block or something to that effect. Several thousands of dollars later, Blue was out of the hospital, but I was not ...
Las Vegas, NV, United States dearmasa... pretty cool. We saw Circus de Soleil - Mystere, which was just amazing. Paid $10 to go into our in-house bar/club to maybe see some bikini bull riding but instead saw country and western dancing. Not the best money we've spent by far, it was awful and we only lasted 10 mins. BEfore Vegas we were at the Grand Canyon, need do I say was amazing. We did a helicopter ride around the rim, a must to show the scale of the thing. and ...
Las Vegas, United States lovingitWell boys and girls, you just have to come to Vegas once in your life you and sample it yourself. This place is bonkers, classy, tacky, more billionaires and bums than probably anywhere in the world, fantastic, fun, exhilarating. Basically there is a constant buzz here, with never a dull moment. Apart from going out to see the grand canyon yesterday which was spectacular and will remember those views for the rest of my life. Vegas has been one mental week with cards and whiskey ...
Las vegas, United States robertcaraher... attention and money - Paris has an Arc-du-Triomphe and an Eiffel tower, New York New York has a mini Statue of Liberty, and Venice has canals and gondoliers singing "just one Cornetto". The whole road is full of zombified tourists traipsing from one casino to the other (sometimes they take the bus the ten-metres to the next one). I heard that some people wear nappies while playing the slots so they don't have to leave their seats to spend a ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States slinkymlinkyStory below. As I lack room elsewhere. Scene 1. Saturday night 12:45am. We sit by the campfire after being rudely interrupted by god-awful techno music blaring from a nearby boat. (Abuse to the ears.) We ponder our course of action. Enter: Wayne. "hheeeyyyyy. I just moseyed on down to see just how loud this music was here. WOW. Loud. The water's vibratin' over there... like bbbbrrrrrr. Just like that. Bbbrrrrrr. Cant go ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States lady_d... So with Billy Joel, We Didn't Start the Fire transitioning to some ACDC and even a little Justin Timberlake, Senorita to spice things up, we pummeled past the Bellagio and Caesar's Palace en route to gravy biscuits, eggs, and beers. Watching the sun rise in Las Vegas was surreal. It seemed out of place... like these neon lights were not meant to be dimmed by the sun. This was exciting yes, but the real adventure was our trip to ...
Las Vegas., Nevada, United States lady_d... is that these guys speak in booming voices that you could clearly hear throughout the store but as soon as you got close to them they kind of shut up as if I were listening in on their private conversations. Unfortunately for Nadia she had to wade through these guys to get to the coffee machine all the while getting the evil eye from a couple of them. Only a couple of miles from Tropic Utah State Road 12 enters the park. There is no official entrance at this point but you ...
