      ... a few clouds in 25 days of sunny skies and lofty temps. Hopefully as we wend our separate ways North this weekend, the last of the snow will have vanished up north and we can break out the gardening tools and the Miata for the joys of spring in Niagara.
      When I'm old and infirm and not able to do this any more, somebody please remind me that I had a fabulous time, the best possible winter in 2015, while I was still able for it!

The town wanted to build a larger facility but could not get the jays franchise to contribute any money into the project threatening, even at that time to head to Phoenix! and the smaller town was stretched to its limits so could only build the present stadium seating just over 5000 seats...they are sold out most spring training seats ...but in talking to many visitors who can't get ...

      Our destination Monday was to travel into Tampa Bay for an evening hockey game. Left our apt. By 2pm and found ourselves in the heart of downtown very quickly so made a quick decision to hike over to the TB History center . It was wonderfully informative on the history and settling of the city and the surrounding area. The Indians were here when the first invasions from the Spanish occurred in the 1500 s and still much later ...

      ... at Charlotte (NC) we passed very quickly through customs and went and found a bar for another drink, at least this time didn't get ripped off too much! The plane seemed to take ages to get in the air and as a result we arrived in Tampa 30 min late but LA and Terri was waiting for us, thanks guys. After leaving there we stopped in at GPeppers for another drink and a bite to eat..I had a plate of 'wings' in BBQ sauce and Di had fish ...

      ... diving for theirs! This island reminds us so much of our many happy times with family on Chincoteague Island in Virginia. Sandra and John will love this protected spot and we know we'll spend time here with them during the next two weeks.

      Temperatures at night have been in the 50's and 60's and rising quickly to upper 70's and low 80's during the day. All in all very pleasant and unusually warm ...
