Sorry for the gap in posts, we didn't get internet in Byron bay! Byron was a cool little town, it had a strong surfer/hippie vibe to it. Lots of little shops, cafes and restaurants lined the streets. When we first arrived in Byron we dropped out bags and joined others from our hostel on a complimentary walking tour of the headland. At the end of the day they feed the Rainbow Lorikeets and hundreds flock to the feeding area. It's crazy! Apparently Lorikeets see how far they can shoot their poop for fun. So we all left covered in wee and poo but it was worth it!
The rest of the week we have spent visiting the local beaches and markets. We also had a day trip to Byron Bay which was really good. ...

... and me and Luke split to do the thrill rides. First up was the Storm, a new ride that's half log water borne and then roller coaster before hurtling back to earth through a cloud of water spray and finally into a large plunge pool... Or so Luke told me as I had my eyes closed tight after the water spray. Then we headed over to the Jet Rescue roller coaster and boy is that seriously fast. After 4 rides ...
