The Wedding Ring Search Party

... were flying over the nice clear water.  We pretended that they were helping us find the ring.  They weren't.

Did I mention how nice and clear the water was.

Eventually we decided to come back to the condo and make adult smoothies....

Mmmm.... adult smoothies....

The wedding is soon, we will be barefoot on the beach, not sober, and looking good.

Go us!

And GO Bridget and Drew!!!!

I consider them friends
The stars
I learn from them
They are many things
Great listeners
Supporters
Believers
Lovers

They have no secrets
No funny stories
No sad stories
And no answers

They just light my path
Insisting that I have somewhere to go

So tonight

Paradise of a Home

Well, this is where we called home until the economy crashed and took my business with it. But that gave us an opportunity and impetus to seek broader learning in Saigon. Of all the places we've lived this is at the top. On the bay, with a yard, dog....the American dream. Quiet town living, safety, low cost of living, only the occasional hurricane. It is a good place. We miss our friends and will return.

The Second Leg of the "Farewell Tour"

... Cory, Matthew, and Nicholas, and of course, who can forget, Grandpa Doug and Grandma Lou Schmuhl.

Lauren will probably get mad at me for not including more detail as to what went on in the week, but it was really just a great relaxing week at the beach. Not a whole heck of a lot of major things happened. We were able to grill out a few nights and other nights go to some local restaurants like The Santa Rosa Beach Club and Harry T's. The Santa Rosa ...

Destin-ation Destin!

When we got to Destin, we found our beach house where we will be staying with my grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins. But they had not arrived yet, so we went down to the ocean and swam for a little while, then went out for a seafood dinner. My Uncle Jason met us there to get the keys and we drove the convertible back to see everyone. It was great to be all together again, especially on the beach!

Destin beaches are really nice. The sand is very white ...

Florida Road Trip

... the country. Sugar white sand and blue green water. We visited family, at Appilachicola oysters and shrimp. Terri cooked some thick, juicy, all-American size steaks for dinner one night and she also made biscuits and gravy with grits for breakfast one morning. Why is this trip so much about the food??? We also did some shopping. Every store was ...

... with plenty of room. We had our own little area in the lower level which gave us a lot of privacy. Brett is an incredible cook and prepared many of the meals so we were well fed. Niko, Dom and Trey have changed so much since we saw them in the summer. They are such a fun trio and keep us in stitches much of the time. They have added one more male to the family: Frasier, their Jack Fox Terrier. He is a wonderful dog and we all ...
