Went on the Palm Springs aerial tram today - fits 80 people! Incredible experience - starting from a height of 2643 feet up to 8516 feet - almost 1800 metre increase. Fabulous views from the top. I made the mistake of walking down the trail and had to walk back again. My throat felt raw after that but improved & Ken & I had a nice dinner across the road from our hotel. The raw throat returned at bed time & I had a terrible night - very little ...

This was our last night in our little camper-van (thank goodness!) and once again - found a quiet spot off the road to call home for a few hours. It's gorgeous here and the resort is out of this world but we won't be sad to leave this heat behind, bring on Anaheim, which can only mean one thing - Disneyyyyy! Love Sian ...

... in the canyon as we set off early but you could hear the hum of civilization in the distance. One ancient shelter rock had artifacts from more than 2,000 years ago. The trail itself loops up to Tahquitz Falls (2 miles in total) and climbs 350 feet in elevation.

Since we finished that hike earlier than expected we donned our winter clothing and set out for the Aerial Tramway. One drives up a steep slope ...

... part chaotic storage. The valets looked on in polite amusement, and then eventually discreetly left until we had sorted ourselves out.

The long and short of this is that we needed a good cleaning. Kathryn called the Parker in advance to see what treatments were available for me… Salt scrubs, sugar scrubs, seaweed wraps. Well, they all sounded exotic, and slightly frightening, and in the end went with a seaweed wrap. What ...
