... it and will probably turn brown tomorrow. After a cooldown back at the hotel we headed off to hire some bikes for a couple of hours but that didn't work out so we visited the nearby International Swimming Hall of Fame. Quite interesting if your into swimming and the olymic games history. The adjacent outdoor pool and grandstands, warmup pool, diving pool and training facility were also interesting. As we took off, we flew low over the city - and had some great views of the sky line and the ...

... to just hunker down and stay the course. And the waves rode like stallions. Up and down, up and down, up and down. Splash, splash, pound, pound, pound.

After hours of pounding and crab walking, we finally arrived at the entrance into Key Biscayne. We felt only a little relieved because it was approaching dusk, the winds and waves were picking up and it was going to be a race to see if we could make port before dark. Because the seas were increasing, the Captain was putting ...

      Sketchy Hotel

... And the other reason is that one of our cruzing buddies uses Rodeway and thinks it's a good deal. Free breakfast, too. So here we are at Rodeway. The lobby looks like a combination of 7-11 and a liquor store with plastic covered sofas. Laundry detergent and condoms are sold behind the registration desk. We purchased neither. There is a restaurant/bar. Service was slow, the crowd was loud but we had excellent rib eye steaks! Our room is ...
