... some gorgeous properties. We went out to a beach through Noosa National Park bush, and nearly collected a wild turkey, and took a couple of photos. It's all such a huge, trendy area. We are here till Tuesday morning. Dad, my baked dinner last night in the convection oven was pretty good even though it wasn't a rump roast, cooks quicker than an oven. We have a lasagna to try in it tonight. The park is really filling up since we arrived, the sites are quite big, could fit a van ...

We are in Mooloolaba for at least a week depending on the sea conditions. Our next leg to the Sandy Straits, Fraser Island via the Wide Bay Bar needs to be attempted only in calm conditions. The Wide Bay Bar has a notorious reputation. I cannot think of a better place to wait. Mooloolaba has a great feel to the place. An endless selection of eateries, the freshest of seafood, a beautiful beach and boardwalk ........ and more family to catch ...

On the bigger/sunnier days there can be 40-50 surfers on one break, though Kathryn heard someone saying he had seen ...
We set off towards Noosa with no real idea of where to go as we were now slap bang in the middle of the holiday weekend and no-where online had any vacancy at all. Our first stop was Mooloolaba a small-ish town on the Sunshine Coast. As we drove in we passed several motels and hotels all with ‘No Vacancy’ signs up. We parked up at a food court to get some (you guessed it) food and as we were walking around ...
