... an easy drive! It rained all the time and at times it was coming down so hard we had to slow way down to see the road! We saw more lightning and heard more thunder in a day than we've seen in years in SD!

When we arrived at the park, someone in a fancy RV was stuck in the mud on the median! They were going to need a truck to pull them out ...

... the A1A. The 95 is the interstate and filled with tolls and boring driving. The 1 is nice but mostly goes through the town strips so pretty much Wal-Marts and McDonalds and Starbucks everywhere. The A1A on the other hand is where you get the nice views. It's a slow drive but that’s a good thing as you get a chance to look at the beaches and all the humungous houses that line the coast. ... br> Back onto the bus, and onto the International Space Station Assembly area. This was a bit of an anti climax after the Saturn rocket.

Our final bus journey took us back to the main area, where we started queuing for the Space Shuttle stimulation. Wow, what an experience. After that, we sprinted as fast as we could to the 3D Imax show of man’s journey to the moon, narrated by Tom Hanks. Absolutely fantastic; we would all watch it again any ...

      HEADING HOME ..... REALLY!

A travel blog entry by takinbetz on Apr 24, 2010

... heading for Titusville. With the main sail reefed and full head sail we were making 7.5 kts with a NNE wind 15-20. Gusts of 35 were higher so we pulled in the head sail and continued with the main sail. All in all it was a “stinky” trip up to Titusville. Fred, Marti, Christine and Frank met us on the docks and we had cocktails and went to Dixie Crossroads for dinner.
