Tuesday - We skyped Darrens family then met up with the couple we were going to move in with. They are living further west about 24 miles in Eagle...we met them at loaded joe's then went for a walk with their dog to the park. The weather turned and we were in pretty hard rain so headed back...this place is even beautiful in the rain.

This morning we had planned to skype a few people, however the WIFI had gone down last night and still wasn't working so we had give up on skype for now.

There were a few things going on today in near by towns...first off we stopped in Edwards (10 mins drive west) for a Pumpkin Patch. It said there would be lots of pumpkin displays, however there wasn't as much as they had made was still fun to see so many different shapes, sizes and colours of pumpkins.

... the coffee shop being pretty unique too. We had lunch at the coffee shop called 'Sticky Fingers Cafe' and it was so tasty!!

Darren had a coffee with a BBQ pulled pork sandwich on a pretzel bun.
I had a warm apple cider (cider isn't always alcoholic over's just more of a spiced warm apple drink) and a salad with spinach, mandarin orange, cranberries, chicken, almonds, feta and a raspberry dressing. We resisted all of the yummy ...

... runs by his grandson and in a gallery in Aspen. Ansel Adams founded a very famous group f 64 which includes Dorethea Lange who produced some again iconic photographies of the migrants on the US 66 road.
I hope that you will go and discover these amazing pictures and the works of this admirable photographer.

... in El Paso, which was the last roadside hotel we stayed in; what a bargain.

Tomorrow we're off to Mt. Rushmore where we will actually be meeting Mary's cousin Nancy, daughter of her Godmother Agnes, who we saw earlier in the journey. Believe it or not Nancy is on a 3 month journey with her husband Steve and we are 100% coincidentally going to be at Mt. Rushmore at the same time they are. Wow!
