      We had a great time relaxing at Fort Pickens. Nita went for a nice long bicycle ride along the coast. She was flying - until it was time to turn around. Suddenly the truth dawned - she was flying because the wind was helping. The return trip was against the wind!

      ... everything we saw - the white sandy beaches and the wooden clad bars. Each day was fun packed starting with a morning workout in their garage, courtesy of Heather who put us through our paces with exercises that we hadn't been accustomed to for a while. This routine was a good addition as we ate a lot of fried food and drank a lot of beer during our stay so it kept us alive!

      ... masses as well as marine territories. The Fort Pickens area includes beautiful sand dunes ans beaches and a fort that was in use as recently as WWII. Our campsite was in a quiet corner of a secluded loop of the campground with a big shady tree and a view of the dunes. The forecast was for rain but the skies were fairly clear when the sun set around 7:30pm.
