    Left New Orleans heading to Pensacola. First stop was at Bellengrath Gardens in Theodore. The gardens were beautiful and the house was very impressive. I still didn't see an alligator but did see a large Gar in the bayou. We had lunch in the cafe and most people went and put their bathers on for the beach. I will give 2 hours at the beach a miss.     Our journey continues almost to Florida through 2 other states, Mississippi and sweet home Alabama. Pensacola is nice and has some great beaches. We checked out Perdido Key and Destin. But the later was a bit to touristy for us and not very dog friendly.

    ... right? We had been faithful all Feast and here we were stuck without a vehicle, barely able to get it back to the shop. Turns out it needed a new alternator as well, which brings us to our current state. We have had no choice but to stay two extra nights, and may be needing to stay an additional night to get our car up to standards.

    Did I mention we were pretty much car-less all Feast? We had to ride with my in-laws anywhere we needed or wanted to ...
