... Peninsula. Looked at Gilchrist, that had been wiped out by Hurricane Ike in 2008. Now rebuilt, with all homes built on stilts high above ground. Caught the FREE ferry to Galveston. First ferry since Ireland! Drove to Johnson Space Centre. Did tram tour that took us to the original Mission Control used for Apollo programs, ( like being on the set of "Apollo 13".) and then to the Saturn V rocket shed. Apparently this rocket ...
... beach in Galveston. We picked up a pizza from Mario's Ristorante who's slogan on their sign says, "We speak very little English but we make the very best pizza". It was great and we enjoyed it outside at the campground. We watched a beautiful sunset by the campfire and then settled in for the night.

61 degrees this morning, but very foggy. We finally got to take a walk along the beach, in the fog. :)
After several blocks along the Seawall, we did a big square and walked thru the neighborhood. It's a mixture of some nicely restored houses, some okay houses, and a lot of pretty shabby houses.
