So we head to San Antonio only to be caught in what we thought was rush hour traffic... turns out it was the traffic created by the parade for the San Antonio Spurs after winning the NBA. Brad said later he was caught up in the celebration when he arrived in San Antonio earlier in the week ...

On our way to Galveston we got caught in traffic so we opted for an adventure in the form of a detour. What a surprising view. The Gulf roughly lapping the shores; beautiful homes on stilts, pastel colors of beach community homes were easy on the eye. I wish more of them were caught in pictures. So, we crossed the road, and went to the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co restaurant on the beginning of the pier. LJ had the "Seafood Fiesta" which was fish, shrimps and Tosca Balls (fishy/crabby things) and fries. Dave had "Bucket of Boat Trash" which was big crab legs, shrimps and fish. Oh and ...

... down to us. Much better.

We found a Galveston board game in the house (same as Monopoly but with Galveston attractions), so spent the morning playing that and finishing laundry. We are only two short blocks to the beach/seawall, but it was ugly out there so will have to do that another day when it warms up.

We went on a little driving tour. It was cold, windy and raining off and on, so we ...
