... we arrived Miami, and closer to 5 by the time we collected our luggage, and caught the shuttle to the hotel.
A quick dinner at Latino Sabor, which was next door to the hotel. Food was good, but it was definitely a locals café. A formica and plastic booth type of place. I am however in love with the Cuban bread...and Mom loves the coffee. Also tried cassava fries, good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to order them.

... at one of the restaurants to have a hamburger. We just felt like a burger this evening. It was also happy hour so we were happy eating our burger!

We are so excited about boarding the lovely Serenity tomorrow. Not sure how much sleep we will get! We will be able to see her from our hotel window in the morning.

... however when we left at about 11:30 most places were closing down which seemed a bit strange for a Friday night. Our views of downtown were not great, it was kind of like an Asian town with small, chaotic shops, small little indoor malls, 7-11s and the like. ... we headed for a fruity cocktail each and a plate of fresh fruit - it was still before noon, but the fruit cancelled out the alcohol!

For lunch I persuaded anna to let me try the bubba gum shrimp restaurant. it even had Forrest Gump movie playing on screens inside! I ate and Anna watched the movie.
