    ... so it meant a much longer walk. Walking wasn't the problem, but after so many stops on route the need for a 'happy room' was getting desperate. This part of the river walk, being newly rebuilt after the floods, didn't have any facilities provided.     ... dinner and some wine on my last evening down under... Where we enjoyed kangaroo burgers and wine! I felt quite conflicted eating kangaroo later that same day after I'd just been hanging out with the fellas... Whoops. Ah well... C'est la vie! It was my last chance in Australia to try kangaroo meat so I took the opportunity! I must admit, it was pretty tasty and it's meant to be healthier for you than most meat, with less fat...     ... it was much harder than I assumed. Getting up on the board was not a simple affair! We had a french teacher that I got Really well along with, who basically made fun of me all the time. Apparently, I think too much before getting up on the board, which got me always crashing somewhere in the water. After a few clumsy trials, I finally managed to surf a few seconds.     This morning we enjoyed breakfast on our apartment balcony overlooking the boats on the Brisbane river. After rush hour we set off on the 2hr road trip to Byron Bay, New South Wales.
