      It was on to Wilmington and The Cape Fear River. We stayed at the Cape Fear Marina and Bennett Brothers Boatyard. One of our air conditioning units needed to be replaced, so we chose this location to get the work done.       ... to stop and really wish we didn't pull through during a major downpour.

      We arrived to our hotel in Savannah around 8:00...now I love American Express, but they royally screwed this one up. They choose a Towne Suites (Marriott) location in Southside. The hotel was fine enough, but the clientele...not so much. We barely made it in the room before I found out there were two car robberies within a half mile of the place in the last week ...

      ... There are many upscale shopping malls and some very good restaurants. We visited Savanah (over the border in Georgia) which is a legendary town in the US.
