We went to Broad Creek Marina to catch a ferry that will take us to Daufuskie Island. We crossed the Calibogue Sound and Cooper River. Along the way we saw some very nice homes on the water and a few dolphins. We arrived at Freeport Marina on Daufuskie Island and checked in for our golf cart to tour the island. Yay!! We explored the main shopping streets and visited the City Hall
and Old Cotton Exchange before heading for our overnight bus to
Nashville. And that concluded our short 2 day visit to Savannah. So
far, Savannah has been one of our favourite places in the US- not
because there is a lot to do there- but just because it really is
such a beautiful place to walk around and soak up the atmosphere.
