      ... d been there, probably more. Josh found a commemorative coin that he wanted, and I made a deal with him. I'd decided that there was no telling WHEN I'd be back, and I was having that shirt. So I told Josh that I'd buy him the coin if he wouldn't tell his Daddy what the shirt cost. And he didn't. He earned his coin.       The next photo is of me with an artillery shell from the USS Alabama. My caption needs a bit of explanation, though. I DO own a WWII practice shell that's about 20" tall. I call it my "bullet," and bought it at a yard sale some years ago. So . . . this bullet is bigger than mine.

      ... the wildest looking drink EVER, called a "Painkiller." It had rum and pineapple, and I don't know what else - and it SMOKED. Oh, wow, did I wish I could have one! Ali, I did try to be mean and call you and tell you where we were, but couldn't get a signal. MEAN Mommy!

      Spent most of today tidying up this huge apartment, scrubbing the bathrooms, kitchen, the floors, washing the linens etc. as we are leaving first thing tomorrow morning and the owners, Johnny and Jan are coming back to stay. The place was beautiful when we came so want to leave it exactly the same way when we leave. Haven't done housework in a long time, especially for a 2800 square feet ...
