      We went back to our camp site, started a fire and grilled some delish pork chops and corn on the cobb. Half way through dinner it started pouring with rain again! We raced back inside. The rain didn't last too long but by then I'd changed into dry clothes and was too tired to go back out again. We called it a night.

      start this chapter with a tribute to a wonderful person.

      ... masses as well as marine territories. The Fort Pickens area includes beautiful sand dunes ans beaches and a fort that was in use as recently as WWII. Our campsite was in a quiet corner of a secluded loop of the campground with a big shady tree and a view of the dunes. The forecast was for rain but the skies were fairly clear when the sun set around 7:30pm.
