      ... an hour or so, before it was time to head off to Pete & Carly Styles' for tea before Bible Class. We got lost on the way, partly due to a lack of navigation skills on the passengers' side (mostly me :) and partly due to the map's large scale. We had chosen a great spot to get lost, though.       ... Dave the Kyrgyzstan pix. Same showed more blue sky the first week than I recalled; less blue sky, the second week. I was pretty happy with the photographic effort, Brys, seeing them collectively for the first time.

      Into LHR after 1000 local time. We were a bit later than expected. On clearing into the public area, said my farewell to Dave. The trip went very well with him. Hopefully China will beckon in two years.

      ... it. No wonder – it’s a convenience store, parking lot and car rental all in one. He goes inside and proceeds to get the car set up to stay for the duration. “Ten minutes for the shuttle,” we are told. Ten minutes?? I am not at all happy but it is out of my control.       ... security [not as good as Tabu, a family joke] and the walk to the gate was all done in some 40M.

      The airport is pretty busy so some people are doing well in this economy. No damn wifi so a bit of diary stuff, waiting to board the 767-300, an older model ie no individual screens, no options within types of music [the pop stuff so so at best]. I gave up my window seat so a couple could sit together but gained an aisle seat [2-3-2].
