It was getting late after all our super day of sightseeing. The plan was to spend the night in a caravan park somewhere by the ocean, and fill up the water in the van, have a hot shower and relax.
The park we were set on was to our uneducated ears, expensive at £22, after all, we are only parking on their land and using a few of their facilities... and we are on a ...

Nearly forgot when we were driving through Newton Abbot on the way to the camp site, i saw a sign on the front of a small cottage it read "Charles Dickens parents lived here" Now here is some homework for you, is it the Charles Dickens of "A Christmas Carol" fame? If yes did his parents really live in Newton Abbot? If not then who is the other Charles Dickens?
Will upload a couple of photo's of today.
Well a bit behind with the blog due to no connection so here is a quick update.
We booked into Middlewick farm for a few days before going to Dad's and Mo's for a few days whilst "No Fixed Abode" was away being fitted with a tow bar.
The farm site was very quiet and relaxing, full of sweet smells of dung and pig poop!!!!
Truck dog Poppy thought it was great fun chasing the chickens!!
Hope you like the vid and pics.

Spent the rest of the afternoon in No 1, The Talbot Inn at the bottom of High St, always been called No 1 but no one knows why. Lona cooked dinner at Johns for 6.30 and he just made it.
Weather has been gorgeous again, yesterday and today. We took Aunt Rose and ...

Thursday morning Lona & I walked to the top of the High Street, my previously good knee was quite sore when we got back for lunch and a quiet afternoon. In the evening we drove down to Brixham on the southern end of Tor Bay to a Cafe/Restaurant ...

Tomorrow we leave, have to take truck dog Poppy to the vet, the vet has to check she does not have rabies and he will then issue her passport!!
We then travel to Looe for the weekend, fingers crossed weather is OK. But then if it is raining i might get some rest, i am all wore out, didn't know this holiday lark was such hard work!!
All for now.
Anyone any ideas where the secret location was?
Feel free to email us love to hear from you.
... there is know way of identifying the others.
There was no street lights outside our caravan or to the lane that run along side it, so all i saw was 2 fights going on outside my van and heard a lot of screaming, until i realised it was my children being beaten up. My eldest had 4 lads on top of him!!!!
The caravan we were staying in was discusting. The small rooms were mouldy and damp ...
... but just could not get one to fit the motor home.
If you are ever in the area Witheridge is a nice place to visit.
We left on Friday the 4th to spend some time with very old friends in the "SECRET LOCATION"
Thanks dad and Mo for having us.
... s it. aspirin', I proclaimed. "No, that's aspirin, not espirin" she insisted. I left the shop with the unwelcome knowledge that my accent, while regarded as a bit hoity-toity back home, was considered very Antipodean in the land of my forebears. Battle Abbey was a bit of a disappointment, having been destroyed quite some time ago. I used one of those portable tape recorder devices to guide me around the grounds but quickly grew tired of ...
