    ... flight we experienced a medical emergency. I was glad I could assist the flight attendant with the defibrillator. After a return emergency landing back at Denver, we made it to Anchorage around 1 am local time (4 am Florida time).     ... Joanna and her husband Geoff in Durham, NC. We have heard such great things about this town and were eager to check it out. While we only had a few hours, and it was dark, they gave us a thorough and informative driving tour, including a tour of the Duke campus which was fun. The next day, we hit the road to Virginia for a quick visit, and then the home stretch -- 7 hours further north arriving in NJ around 10 PM on Dec. 22.

    Overall, a great way to spend December!

    ... is very long and has several spans under which you can pass which makes that confusing. I could also say someone (take a guess) told First Mate the huge span we clearly saw and needed to pass under was called the Tampa Bay Bridge as opposed to the Sunshine Skyway Bridge so she ignored it. Finally I could say the stupid markers for the ICW are very confusing. Long story short, we were running a parallel course which turned a two hour trip into a three hour trip. And, as ...
