Pi Kate's Wedding
My cousin Kate (Gate) got married on Friday at one of the families restaurants in Siam Square. Ba Tukta picked me up after school on Thursday and I missed school on Friday (bummer..). We woke up at 3:30 am to get ready and head over to the bride's house, which is her parent's house, for the first of many traditions to take place. Reunion
... After gathering all the necessary information from reception we walked to the local train station, it was a £1 for both of us to get to the port and was relatively straight forward and the train was clean, fast and on time (at least we think so). First stop Wat Arun. We disembarked and transferred onto the river cross boat as it was on the other side to everything else. A great day in Bangkok
... our guide, Roger, didn't arrive until this afternoon, we were on our own today. We headed to the old city where we hired a tuk-tuk to take us around. Now a tuk-tuk is an interesting vehicle, sort of an automated rickshaw, completely open and running on three wheels. Go, our driver, took us to several temples as well as a number of shopping emporiums. Go informed us that he received coupons for gas if he brought us to the shops, so he had quite a successful ...
CIVILISATION
... bad news that Keely had to leave us and head home :(. Its a massive ******* but I am sure she will be back here in the next couple of months in time for summer. We asked her how she would like to celebrate her last night - just a simple pizza delivery to our suite! The small things after 6 weeks of being backpacker bums!!

... br> We stayed at Siam@Siam again this year, this place was recommended to us by someone & we love it. Great location, its under the National Stadium BTS station & a 7 Min walk to MBK or 1 stop from National Stadium, So it ables yout to get anywhere in Bangkok. There is a Tesco lotus supermarket 2 blocks to the right as exit siam@siam for any supplies you need.
We were upgraded again this year to a BIZ class room ...
