... for on the road. Saves a lot of time cooking in the camp. Indeed we manage to complete the photo’s and are able with a bit of fussing over very intermittent wifi to upload our blog.

Back on the road again, that is after we manage to stuff everything strewn around our apartment back into the car again. A bit of an effort, but we get there and believe we have improved on the stacking and sorting of stuff.

Next stop is the Bungle Bungles, ...

... is the best spot to stock up for several hundred km's. We are getting our first taste of cold for a while. The temperature dropped today, down to 21c, and apparently will get down to 3c tonight! ... together to the Araluen Cultural Precinct. This proved to be a really good day. Saw an exhibition of artwork by Sarah Brown initially - wonderful stuff - and then on to the Albert Namatjira Gallery. The latter has paintings by Albert and a number of his family, and by some other artists influenced by Rex Battarbee, who was Namatjira's mentor. ... to cross a creek bed again and there was a large sheet of smooth, but very uneven rock and this was the first challenging 4WD section we had come to. We continued on and as we got closer to the gorge the road conditions became more challenging with some large jump ups over big rocks. Stephen enjoyed the driving! ... it had turned into a very warm day.
We drove up onto ANZAC Hill on our way back into town. This hill is very close to the town centre and provides an excellent panorama over Alice Springs and surrounds.
Our last stop for the day was the Old Gaol and Pioneering Women's Hall of Fame. The facility has been setup to house the Pioneering Women's Hall of Fame in what had become a derelict building where the Alice Springs Gaol had been as this was the only facility available. ...
