We drove in to Brisbane to explore the city, We went on a river cruise around the river to see the beautiful skyline. Brisbane History The Jagera and Turrbal Aboriginal clans had lived around the Brisbane river for a considerable time period before European settlers arrived, but the exact length is hard to pin down. Aboriginal occupation of Australia dates back around 40,000 years (according to most scholars at least) and there is no evidence to ...

The drive from Canberra to Taree, where we stayed overnight was very smooth. From Taree to Brisbane along the Pacific Highway, was a very different story. Intermittent construction zones over hundreds of kilometres was the norm. Just when we thought it was smooth sailing, another construction zone would appear.

The worst bit about it was the walk back up the sand dune, it was steep and the sand was soft.
Were there a while, then we headed back to the 4x4. Another 20 minutes or so and we were back at the beach. The ferry was boarding, but we were allowed to go in the sea for a bit, which was excellent as we were covered in sand!

Spent a little while in the sea then dried off and went and got on the ferry. Sat at the back and got to see a ...

... confused. ... No idea what any of that means. But it wasn't over. The drunk woman from Perth grabs me because she wants to ask me something. As she goes in to scream in my ear she gives me a kiss on my cheek. What is wrong with these people? Chris is talking to this woman's "cousins". All the cousins need to give hugs while talking apparently. At this point I'm pretty sure we are either on a hidden camera show that just screws with Americans or we ...

An uneventful flight from Wellington to Brisbane apart from a delightful 2 year old sat across the aisle from us. As soon as we boarded he started really screaming and as we pushed off the gate Mum passed him to Dąd who was sat next to us. He did quieten down when we had been in the air for about 10 minutes and fortunately never uttered another peep. By this time we were both deaf in both ears, not just the usual one. The weather was clear and we got ...
