    Actually this day was taken up with travel & we arrived in Brisbane in the early hours of the morning. Kristian & Kate picked us up from the airport & home for coffee. Sleep was not long after.

    An end to a fantastic holiday. Great places to visit & great company. What more could a man ask.

    I arrived into Brisbane airport at the ungodly hour of 5am. My flight had been less than ideal with surly cabin crew and the plane so cold I can only assume they were preparing us for the arctic.

    This is my third visit to Brisbane so there is a vague familiarity about the train stops. Brisbane is one of my favourite cities. As far as I am concerned it has

    Well, Mum didn't read the tickets properly. She thought we left at 12:30AM but turns out we leave at 2:30AM. & on top of that, the plane is delayed and won't depart until 4AM. So we got here at 9PM and now have to wait 7 hours. Oh well! All part of the adventure I guess.

    ... and a 'big band' (Ipswich Model Band) playing film theme tunes!! The main event of the days entertainment was the battle of the bands, there were 5 local bands all competing for $500 cash prize! (To be perfectly honest the competition wasn't up to much but it was rather amusing). One of the bands were so bad it sounded like each member was playing a different song!!
