... so we walked back to the main road and hopped on a baht bus. Pattaya's main road is a one-way system loop around the whole town, on which baht buses operate; they allow you to hop on and off at any point for a fixed fee and so are an ideal way to get around. We jumped off the baht bus at the top of Pattaya after passing a vast array of restaurants: German, English, Indian, Russian, every taste seemed to be catered for other than Thai. Its a shame about the weather aswell, as we were going to make the trip to Ko Samet, which looks stunning, but there was a tropical storm and everywhere close to Bangkok and central Thailand was pouring it down.

One day....we may even be able to laugh about it... <shudders at the thought>

... seeing the place come to life after sun-down. I was really tired and after 2 fabulous dinners on a street stall (40B for a plate of chicken fried rice and 40B for a plate of seafood fried rice), I just headed back to my room and crashed. I suppose I really wasn't in the mood to party or to be harassed by the working girls who were present in every single bar.

I slept off early and awoke at about 7:30 am. As I stood up and stretched my arms, my ...
