Dolphin Day
... strong looking. We had a chance to pet him and hug him and he *spoke* to us and, occasionally, splashed us then clapped his fins as though he was pleased with himself. Giving him a kiss was just brilliant and I got some real nice photos. He kisses really gently on your cheek first then expects a kiss back. he would not leave me alone after he kissed me until I had planted at least 10 kisses back onto his mouth lol. The ride on Nacho ...
Day 4 in paradise!
... Eh. It only had a 15% chance, anyway.
I was pretty tuckered out from all the excitement, so I skipped out on cards and was tucked in my bed by 8pm (7am US time!) like a little old woman.
All at sea with the Scrambled Egg Heads!
... was the worst case of verbal diarrhoea I have heard!! They were at times joined by what I suspect were their good lady wives. You would think when you get to their age you run out of things to say. It wasn’t even conversation. It was just words. It was if they wanted to be heard but had nothing to say!! Even when they went inside, their booming voices sent vibrations up through the deck head. In fact, they were two of the biggest ‘deck-heads’ as when ...
Life In Cabo
... is that!
We spend the rest of the day relaxing at Wendy & Charlie's, doing some planning for the next leg of our journey. Charlie has left me with too MANY great looking spots for the time we have allotted, so we are juggling dates and trying to figure out how many we can fit in - gosh it's a rough life we lead isn't it? Wendy returns from the airport and we talk and tell stories of our past and deepen ...
A real 'WOW' Day
... boat. That, my friends, is a capital letter WOW. There are two boats, and yes, they are actual America’s cup boats (costing only $15 million each, made out of carbon fibre) that were used in the last race. One was from Australia, and the other from New Zealand. They have been replaced by other boats on the race circuit, so these are surplus and now used for ‘tourists’. Yee – Haw ... what a ride... ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Terrasol Beach Resorts Cabo San Lucas
Quite Charming
I am a local business owner in Cabo... a hotelier as a matter of fact. My hotel is located in the center of town and a bit of a walk to the beach. When my guests want a bit of a stay at the beach. I send them to Terra Sol for a few nights...all have absolutely just loved the charm of this beachside hotel.
As a matter of fact that is where I always head with book in hand for a quiet escape on a lovely afternoon.
Best whale watching beach ever!
We stayed in a great condo at Terrasol #141, the bedroom had a beautiful view of the harbor and the lights at night were spectacular. In the morning we could sit on the front patio and watch whales as we drank our coffee. The pools and bar were a refreshing spot to stop for drinks and snacks between walks on the beach. The location is great just a short walk down the hill to the harbor and a convenient walk to town. Terrasol is a peaceful and relaxing place to stay and we plan on returning next year to escape from the stress and winter routine of Chicago.
Peaceful & Relaxing
Terrasol is at the very tip of Land's end and is one of the few beach front hotels reminiscent of the former Cabo. It's very quiet, very relaxing but has friendly staff and beautiful, inexpensive condos. While it doesn't operate as a resort it's between the Solmar and Playa Grande and walking distance to town. We found it through terrasolcabo once and through private owners on other occasions. We usually pay about $120 for an ocean view studio with exceptional views and a great little snack bar (open for breakfast and lunch).
Solmar Beach is the best place to stay during February and March. Exceptional whale watching and very close to nightlife and a multitude of restaurants.
We have also stayed in their two bedroom condos which are magnificent and very affordable for families.
Loved it!
Beautiful beach & very peaceful
We rented a condo at Terrasol for 4 nights and had a great time! It was very quiet and laid back. We spent lots of time lounging by the pool, and the pool bar serves great appey's along with drinks. The beach was very picturesque and I was amazed that there was no one on it! Of course you can't swim, but it is the perfect length for walking. Our condo (206) was a good size and had a nice view. The decor could have been a bit better especially in the bedrooms. It could also have been a bit cleaner and I was surprised that we did not get housekeeping service at all during our stay. There weren't enough towels & stuff like that.
It was a quick walk to town, although we generally took a taxi because we were lazy!
I would recommend Terrasol if you're looking for a nice peaceful vacation.
Great Value
We are repeat guests, having booked a private condo through Delfin Hotels at a great price. Terrasol has a great location and the best whale watching in Cabo. We will return to the same condo, again and again.
Loved Terrasol!!
My husband and I and another couple just got back from Cabo, we loved it. Terrasol is a great resort for pure relaxation......We had the resort to ourselves most of the time. The condo we stayed in was ground level and right on the beach next to the Palapa bar and pool (they were working on the Palapa, we used the other 2 pools and swim-up bar.Contact Cabo Villa Rentals ask for condo 125-
the Marlin. Beautiful condo, recently redecorated.
Pancho the bartender/cook at the pool makes great salsa and KILLER Margaritas!!! Everyone working at the resort was very friendly and helpful.
We reccommend Captain's Tony's on the Marina for the best brick oven fired pizza, Cabo Wabo good for lunch and late night entertainment. For fishing, we reccommend J C Sportfishing on the Marina. We took a day trip up the coast to Todos Santos, beautiful landscape to look at. Todos Santos is a small town with lots of charm. We found a seclude beach just out of town across from the experimental project, ask a local they will give you directions, you won't believe how great the beach is there. For snorkeling, take highway 1 back towards San Jose Del Cabo, about a 15 minute drive to Santa Maria Bay, just past the Twin Dolphin Resort. Beach vendor (the umbrella man) rents snorkel equipment or bring your own. Best snorkeling we have ever done. After 3:00pm you will have the beach to yourself. We would definitely stay at Terrasol again.
Best Place to stay in Cabo
Last October my friends and I visited Cabo to see Sammy Hagar's Birthday Bash at the Cabo Wabo Cantina. There were eight people in our group and we rented 4 of the condos at the Terrasol. Because they are individually owned, the indoor decor varies from place to place. I rented #233, an upstairs beachfront unit. Very impressive. I would say it was the best of the four condos. The owner definately has taste! The place is complete with any amenity you can think of. I actually prfer the Solmar beach location of Cabo with its mile of private beach (no vendors). I spent a lot of time at the swim up bar in the main pool! The Terrasol is a relaxing place to come home to when you've finished partying for the night and need some quiet. It's about a five minute walk to downtown, but the walk around the marina is pleasant to the eyes. Other alternatives: $3 for a water taxi across the marina, $3 for a richaw, or $4 for a cab (van). I highly recommend staying at the Terrasol, and will be there again in October 2004.
TERRASOL WAS TERRIFIC
serene, secluded, spotless, spectacular. sparkling swimming pools, stilled setting, stunning views, splendid service, speedy stroll to shopping, socializing and see & be seen spots, separated from unsightly solicitors, soothing surroundings, striking structures, supportive staff. superb space!!!you'll love it!!
Nice but a bit calm....
My husband and I stayed at the Terrasol and it was a nice place to stay if you are looking for a quiet place to stay. It was too calm for us.
There was no one at the poolside bar and the resterant was not open when we wanted food. This hotel was very clean the maid service was not daily. I would not stay there again not because it was bad just not what we wanted. IF you are wanting to meet other couples and friends I would stay at a different hotel.
Fantastic Pool area and views
Terrasol's location on the Pacific side gives it a great sunset view, and is a short 5 minute walk to town. The common areas are extremely well maintained, and the two swimming pools were fantastic (they are right on the beach - no swimming, though). Accomodations are very nice and spacious - we stayed in a one bedroom, two bath condo. Buildings are very well maintained, and range in age from 10 years to a couple of years old. All in all, a great value; it's not Las Ventanas or Palmilla, but is a great resort experience.
