... told the wrong thing we finally made it there at 10.15 to be told that they closed at 10pm!! We flattered our eyelids at the ticket man and explained how we were leaving in the morning and really wanted to go up the towers and so he took us up there anyway even though it was all closed so that was really kind!! He took me and Ellen on his moped up the hill to the entrance so we didn't have to walk as well!! Haha!! After that we went to go and have dinner and thought we ...

... I most looked forward to. We returned to an old haunt of mine. Wiriya Guest House is a R200 a night place stuck away in a back street suburb. Four years ago I left a bag of old clothes in their store room before returning home. I wonder if the bag is still there? Dinner was at a street stall a block from Wiriya. We downed a Chang and two plates of pork and rice and settled our bill for seventy ...

My bag didn't come out and it seems customs/quarantine isn't a big deal here as we all just walked through.

Upon exiting the arrival hall I was confronted with a mad house. I ...

... so no customs for me. The flight was decent. We had quite a bit of turbulence but nothing to give me any real worry. I actually had a vacant seat next to me for a little while until another customer found that her movie screen didn't work and wanted to change. Why you would swap an aisle seat for one in the middle is beyond me. Just use your iPod and read a book! The International Airport here is quite nice. There are lots of shops and a jungle boardwalk! I'll have plenty ...

Yes still here but passport now found this morning. So pleased even though I have paid much money for an emergency travel document. I was dreading having to find a place in Melbourne to arrange a new passport which would then have to be picked up in Wellington as that is their nearest location for British passports. Not Australia. It would be horrendous so glad I do not have to fill in this very complicated form. Juita ...
