It was such magical time this Thanksgiving. ... Wild Horse Canyon was one of our most favorite stops this trip and we definitely recommend taking the time to take a look at it if you ever are in that area. You will not be disappointed.
Once we got back to our car we headed straight back to Green River, did some laundry, and treated ourselves to a dinner out at the local restaurant literally steps away from our campsite. Even got a discount on our food for staying at the KOA. We ate until we almost burst ...

Up on the glacier a couple of skiers were climbing up and then skiing down, it looked like a lot of effort and risk for about 30 seconds of ski time. We walked up to the start of the glacier just so we could touch it, but no skiing.

... Vail which is a beautiful area; the high street was all set up ready for the winter ski season with hotels, shops and restaurants. To one side was an area which would be the town ice rink. I had Colorado lamb for dinner in one of the few restaurants that was already open. Apparently Americans don't frequently eat lamb and most of it is imported from Australia but Colorado's is deemed to be better quality. I definitely need to come back here ...
