... University Halls I've seen. People coming in at 3 making a racket, dirty common area, people not washing after use which isn't too bad unless there's only 2 bowls for 5 rooms which is infuriating. I'm not complaining any more, but we were so glad to be out of there and away from the builder next door starting at 7am every morning.

Anyway hostel aside, not a particularly bad 5 days but I struggle to think of a worse place we'll visit. Bottom of the list!

Not bad too. Had a girl in the room who was almost living there as she was looking for a job. Went to the Supermarket to get some lunch and supplies for the next few days. Had lunch, then ventured to the beach for a few hours. Lovely and hot. Surfers Paradise wouldn't look out of place ...

... shops. We ended up getting Hungry Jacks for lunch which is basically Australia's version of Burger King. Did a bit of shopping for some more vests as it's too bloody hot here, oh and a new toothbrush lol. Then we got back, the girls went for a nap and I got my sensible head on and washed all my clothes, so nice to have your whole backpack to choose from. Although I'm already hating living out this backpack, can't wait to get back and have a ...

... Denmark. She went to Gallaudet University in America, and was now studying in Melbourne - she was in Cairns for Spring Break. Sofie, Daniel and I, along with 20 people from the hostel went out and got completely rip-roaring drunk. Happy hour was at a strange hour and was possibly my downfall. It was a good night. I woke up the next morning in a state of panic. "What time is it? What time? 6.50. ****. Coach leaves in 10 minutes. Shoes. Jumper. Bag. Run. Now!" I ran outside ...
