      Day 100 After a long sleep, we woke late to a cloudy day: a rarity on the Gold Coast. Making the most of the situation, we got involved in table tennis and darts in the garage.       Departed a bit late from Brissy. Nearly 7pm by the time we took off. Not much to do at the airport. We were the 2nd in line to check in for the flight .........       ... was our experience. The staff were ok, helpful in places. Sleeping Inn was the name of the hostel and location was good as well. Like Cairns, the "backpackers" seemed to be interested in doing one thing, drinking. Why come to the other side of the world to do something you do at home is beyond me. Anyway our off-building didn't seem too bad at first, they bunched the double rooms for couples into one area of the building. I can only compare it to some of ...

      ... we passed the exit to Steve Irwin's Austrslian Zoo on the Steve Irwin Highway. We did not stop and carried on the busy highway. There was very congested traffic coming from the opposite direction (Gold Coast) into Brisbane bumper to bumper crawling most of the time.
